Synq

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

Synq exists to make one good introduction at a time, and that requires asking you personal questions. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep. It applies to meetonsynq.com and is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, name, date of birth, gender, and match preferences.
  • Verification data: the photos and details you submit for identity verification.
  • Assessment responses: your answers to our compatibility assessment, and the compatibility insights we derive from them. This is personal, psychology-adjacent information, and we treat it as sensitive.
  • Payment records: payment status and references from our payment provider. We never see or store your card or UPI credentials.
  • Technical data: the minimum cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

  • To assess compatibility and propose matches.
  • To write the personal compatibility reads shown to you and, at the pair level, to a person you are matched with (see section 3).
  • To verify identity, prevent abuse, and keep the community safe.
  • To process payments and provide support.
  • To send service emails (sign-in links, match notifications).

We ask for your consent at the point where your responses are processed into insights. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. What another member ever sees

Until you choose to reveal a match, the other person sees no identifying information about you. Compatibility reads describe the two of you as a pair; your individual answers and your private personal insights are never shown to another member.

4. Who processes your data for us

We use a small set of service providers to run Synq: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, an email delivery service, our payment provider (Razorpay), and AI language-model services that help generate the written reads from structured inputs. Each receives only what its function requires, and none may use your data for its own purposes.

5. Retention and deletion

  • We keep your data while your account is active.
  • You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time via the contact below; we delete within 30 days, keeping only what payment and tax law require us to retain.
  • Unfinished assessment drafts are purged automatically.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDPA you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, and lodge a grievance. Write to the contact below; we respond within 30 days. If unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Grievance contact
