Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Synq (meetonsynq.com), a matchmaking service operated from Bengaluru, India. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Synq.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Access is currently invite-only and limited while we are in early access. We may decline or revoke access at our discretion.
• You may hold only one account, tied to your own identity.

2. Your account and honesty

• You sign in with your email address; keep access to it secure.
• Synq works only if your assessment answers and profile information are honest and about you. Misrepresentation, including impersonation or materially false answers, is grounds for removal.
• Verification steps (such as photo verification) may be required before matching.

3. The service

• Synq introduces members one match at a time based on a compatibility assessment. Matches are also reviewed by a human before anything is shared.
• Before any identity is revealed, both members receive a written compatibility read. Identities are revealed only after the reveal step described below.
• We do not guarantee any number of matches, any timeframe, or any outcome. Compatibility reads are informational and not professional advice.

4. Fees

• Taking the assessment is free. Revealing a specific match costs a one-time fee of ₹99 (shown at the point of payment), payable through our payment provider, Razorpay. In some pairings the fee may be split between the two members; the applicable amount is always shown before you pay.
• Fees relate to a specific match and are not transferable to another match.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (see /refunds).

5. Conduct

• Treat other members with respect. Harassment, abuse, hate speech, solicitation, or commercial use of the service is prohibited.
• Do not attempt to probe, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its systems.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Safety

Use good judgment when contacting or meeting anyone you connect with through Synq. Meet in public places first and tell someone you trust. Synq performs limited verification but cannot vouch for any member's conduct.

7. Content and intellectual property

The service, including its assessment, written reads, design, and software, is owned by Synq and protected by law. The compatibility reads you receive are for your personal use only.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy (see /privacy) explains what data we collect and how we use it, including your assessment responses. It forms part of these terms.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synq is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the conduct of members, whether online or offline.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be notified on this page with a new "last updated" date. You may stop using Synq and request account deletion at any time via the contact page.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka having jurisdiction.
